BABE OF THE WEEK

(B.O.W.)

Time to put the kiddies to bed...

FIC INJECTORS

Time to up the ante in injector design and these pups certainly fit the bill. These injectors, using a unique "disc/ball" method of spraying fuel (wider spray pattern), have superior atomization characteristics and are able to run at higher sustained duty cycles than standard pintle-style injectors.

Notice the 6 little itty-bitty spray holes in the tip of this injector. This is what separates the men from the boys and gives you that wider, better atomized spray of go-go juice. Pintle style injectors just can't give you that.

The best...used by the best.

You won't even need the OEM rubber doughnuts to seal these pups to the head. These injectors have them built right onto the tip. Plus, the seal included with these injectors is of the high-temp persuasion...able to withstand more heat than Mitsu ever dreamed about.

WHY 1000s ARE NOT 1000s

(and why we don't sell them)

Always thinking of you, the customer, and wanting to provide as much info as possible on what we're selling (and not give you some stupid 2-3 line description like most do out there), something has come up that you need to be aware of. Call it, we're better educating you, the consumer, in order to have you make better, more informed decisions on your purchases.

Here's a statement from Joe Blow, "1050s are considerably higher in cost...Why not get 1000s for a lot less from XYZ Racing and call it a day? We're only talking 50cc of difference here...right?"

Wrong.

Let us explain. Anyone that is selling 1000s out there, doesn't really understand what they REALLY flow. Maybe they do know what they really flow, but just don't care. Who knows? What we've seen is that in most cases, 1000s flow more like 950s. So in all actuality, you're buying 950s whilst thinking you were getting 1000s. This could create havoc with folks that size their setup to a particular injector flowrate. Being as we don't follow the herd of aimless sheep out there, we will not sell you something that isn't correct in their numbers just for the sake of making the sale. How do we fix the problem?

We offer you 1050s instead!

In fact, the 1050s actually flow more like 1060-1080. Manufacturing tolerances are closer to spec so you can rest assured that when you buy 1050s, you're getting *at least* that flow number from them.

Sooo...in order to milk this newfound mega fuel out of a ball/seat injector, it takes more time. Time is money. Hence, the higher cost of the typhoon flowing 1050s and 1150s.

Let's also look at some spray patterns to help illustrate this point and to justify their higher cost...

Here we have your typical spray pattern of a 950 doing its thing. She's good...as good as we expect it to be, but things get interesting...check it.

Here we have the 1050 and 1150 injector spray pattern. Note how much more that the fuel is atomized. It also delivers a much wider spray pattern...ready to mix it up with the air. Not only will you get the fuel delivery you paid for, you will get a better working injector. You can't beat that with a stick, fuel rail, or billy club...that is, if you enjoy beating injectors with a stick, fuel rail, or billy club.

The bottomline?

What you will get buying a 1050 instead of a 1000 is an injector that more than delivers a flowrate that it's supposed to and all the while, give you a better spray pattern for a better burn. A better burn ultimately equates to more power. We like more power.

You are now edukated...be wise...buy smart.

FFWD HI-FLOW FUEL SYSTEM

We're now offering a simple, bolt-on package for those wishing to better feed the bananas to that brute under the hood. This will give you lowered duty cycle as the injectors won't be starved for fuel and also allow you to up your base idle pressure.

Simplicity is the key for reliability and performance, and we think that we have found the best solution. The stocker rail, in its own right, was engineered well from the start. The ID of the rail is pretty close to common fabbed rails and in some cases, even larger than some aftermarket rails. We just took a good thing, and made it better...FFWD style.

A true bolt-in without fuss, you can install this system in a few hours and poof...you're off to the track. We take care of the hard part, and leave you with the cake.

Our system only includes the best of components. SX, FueLab, Aeromotive, and Aeroquip.

Any chance we could to alleviate the possibility of leaks, we took it. No need for excess fittings, precious firewall real estate eaten up, and monkey biz when wanting to use an FPR. We put in the time at the Bridgeport mill and mod the stocker rail to have it sit right at the end...just like factory, only sweeter. With the 90 degree elbow installed on this SX FPR, your return line will line right up. Easy deal. Push it on, clamp it down, you're done. We've even included a gauge so you're not in the dark when setting the PSI at base idle. We've outfitted many of motors from this shop with this same rail. Provided you have enough pump, this setup will safely sustain 800 horses with enough pump to drive it.

The ultimate cherry-bomb filter created by the FueLab boys. FueLab was created in conjunction with an ex-SX engineer...but with a few more refinements making FueLab the best in its class. This sucker alone will greatly improve your fuel system's flow capability. The stock fuel filter is the biggest restriction in the whole equation.

Check out the built-in flare fitting. NO SCREW-IN! Just one more place that won't give you any leak suspicions. We just keep making it safer and easier every time.

The inlet? Taking the stock rail, we tap the end and install in a -6 fitting with Teflon thread sealant. No JB Weld, no o-ring to go bad, no bolts to loosen or lose, and no nonsense.

We also shave the mounting ears off for a cleaner look. If you don't need them, then why have them? Besides, that extra 6 grams removed will make your car that much faster. :)

This rail is shown powdercoated in Candy Red, but we can spray it in any color you wish for that color-keyed, personalized look. Check out our injun or powdercoating pages to give you an idea of what colors we can offer you.

You say that you already have an aftermarket fuel rail? Maybe you already have some line, an FPR, and a few fittings? Do you just need "x" part(s) from out of our fuel kit which would make your fuel setup complete? Well...we've got one word for ya...EBAY.

WE WILL NOT PIECE OUT THIS KIT! IT IS WHAT IT IS FOLKS.

This rail has been sprayed in our popular Tasty Tittilizing Teal with chrome inlet fitting.

This rail pays homage to McDonald's. We're lovin' it.

In our kits, we now include a better FPR gauge for more accurate pressure readings hot or cold. This gauge is a high quality stainless cased Aeromotive FP gauge that is NON-liquid-filled. We also tweaked the setup a bit more and placed a 45 degree fitting at the gauge so that you don't have to be a contortionist to read it under the hood.

We also have the shiny fittings for those that need an extra mirror to comb their hair. This option is available at NO extra charge.

You get it all.....everything needed for the install from the back of the tank, all the way to the end of the rail. Clamps sized to the line are also provided. We'll even supply you the rail free of charge! Nothing more to buy!

This has got to be the easiest, safest, and most efficient package out there. You've seen the many "kits" offered by others out there we're sure. Here's our take on that gig...

We don't just throw in a box a bunch of parts that you have to "cut to fit", possibly putting you into the position of having to stop your groove and run to the parts store for a particular item, figure out where to mount everything, or even how it all interconnects to each other. All the planning has been already done for you. We use this stuff...we install this stuff. We know what problems you could run into. This kit eliminates the hassle.

ATTENTION N2O USERS: Let us know that's what you're planning to use with this system and we'll make it easy for you on the -4 fuel source tapping for your fuel solenoid. Easy, simple, and accurate using this system. Please indicate this option in the "x-tra info" section on the order form and we can hook you up. Only $10.00 additional charge...no headaches for you!

If you were putting off upgrading that fuel system because either you didn't know what to buy, didn't feel like buying all the necessary parts from 2 or 3 different sources, or maybe even scared to death of working with AN fittings, then you have no more excuses! Here ya go...now start clicking.
