BABE OF THE WEEK

(B.O.W.)

Time to put the kiddies to bed...

1G TURBO THROTTLE BODY BORING and RECONDITIONING

Want more TB flow but still want the ease of a stock bolt on?

Offered for the first time at FFWD, we can now offer you TB boring for added flow! We enlarge the bore to a tad over 63mm for 10-15% increase of suck-in power.

Not only do we bore it out, we disassemble the entire TB, meticulously clean it, replace the shaft seals, replace the ISC o-ring, BISS o-ring, the bottom FIAV plate seal, scrub the sensors, and re-plate all screws and linkages just like factory had them. It will look better than brand new when you get your hands on one of these pups. It doesn't get any better'n this. Why spend 600 plus bucks on a new TB when you can get this piece that offers you more airflow, is better looking, and yet, affordable at the same time!

Pictured here is the dubious '90 Turbo TB. Bad news is, we don't offer FIAV plugging for these beasts because no one could afford us to do the job. Good news is, these suckers can be punched out to 64mm! A pain in the butt to do these TBs, but we'll oblige!

$250.00 91-94 Turbo TB Boring/Reconditioning (w/YOUR core)

$270.00 90 Turbo TB Boring/Reconditioning (w/YOUR core)

At this time, having 91-94 cores here is a hit and miss proposition. However, regardless of core stock, you will have to send yours in before ANY work can be started. Please include all sensors with your TB (ISC, idle stop, and TPS). They all must be in perfect working order! Turnaround is usually 10 working days if the work is done to YOUR TB. Of course, much faster if we happen to have in stock a "done up" TB to swap you out with. Sometimes we have them...sometimes we don't. You just might get lucky. For the '90 TB guys, you definitely would have to send in yours for this service as we have no '90 TB cores at this time.

1G FIAV PLUGGING

91-94 TBs ONLY

This mod is something we do to just about every 91-94 TB we install. This will do away with possible unpredictable idle RPMs because of that funky-ass wax pellet not doing its job and also will help to reduce incoming charge air temps.

No longer will you have to run those coolant hoses to your TB as well. Much nicer deal when removing the TB in the future as coolant will not have to be drained. And who wouldn't like that?

You say that you're worried about not having fast idle for warm-up because you live in a climate slightly short of the North Pole? Don't even be worried about it. This is NOT a "race only" mod. As long as you have good engine management (Link, EMS, etc.), you won't even know the difference that the FIAV is plugged. What you WILL know is that the possibility of unpredictable idle that could come from a blob of Bubba's dirty earwax not doing what it's supposed to do will be removed for life.

JB Weld? 5 minute epoxy? Globs of RTV? You gots to be joking. We fire up the TIG, weld up the hole, and mill it flat. Done the right way-the sure way-the pretty way.

The pic on the left shows an air passage for the FIAV (manny side) which is shaded in red. This is the hole we're going to kill.

The "after" shot on the right is what it looks like when we're through with getting our grubby hands on it. Hole all gone.

INTAKE MANIFOLDS

By applying the Extrude Hone process to each runner, the internal passageway is enlarged and the surface contour improved to achieve significant horsepower gains. This process can polish anywhere that air, liquid or fuel flows. Rough, power-robbing cast surfaces are improved from 80-90 percent regardless of surface complexity. Even previously inaccessible areas can be polished.

These shots were taken with the lens of the camera looking inside of the intake's inlet. As you can see, all rough casting throughout the intake is now completely smoothed over to look like what some people have termed as, "liquid solder". What was once impossible to achieve by usual polishing/porting methods is now attainable through the Extrude Hone process. You can expect a solid 15-20 horse increase applying this process to your intake. Absolutely mesmerizing!

This is a shot looking into one of the ports. Smooth as a baby's derriere. There is no way, this kind of smoothness, consistency, and shaping all the way through the port can be achieved with a long-nose grinder. We can do magic...but not that kind of magic.

We're not through with it yet...

How many intakes have you seen that are just downright nasty? It seems that they are a magnet for oil goop, fuel, june bugs, and God knows what else. With that said, we go a step farther and sex up the outside as well to have it look better than new. Would you expect any less from us???

We'll even throw on one of our block off plates for FREE!
